Cleora M. Ferrara

Cleora M. "Toots" Ferrara, 89 of Sioux City passed away Monday April 29, 2013 of congestive heart failure at a Sioux City hospital. Funeral Services will 3:00 p.m. Friday May 3, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with burial in Willow Township Cemetery Holly Springs Iowa with the Rev. Matthew Miller of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Cleora M. Ferrara was born September 10, 1923 the daughter in Hornick, Iowa to Homer and Macey Margaret (Ficken) Metcalf. She graduated from Climbing Hill High where she loved to play basketball. She married Louis C. Ferrara (deceased) She was employed at Winchargers, Cutty's Packing House and Aalfs Manufacturing. In her free time Cleora enjoyed her beautiful dog Shiloh, embroidering, circle word puzzles, canning, gardening, traveling, fishing and researching family history. She is survived by her dedicated daughter Maxine Ferrara and one grandson Shawn Louis Ferrara and two great-grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Constance Mathison, five brothers Virgil, Morris, Duane, Donald and Clifford Metcalf. She also leaves behind a best friend Vicki Frela who shared the same birthday as her. Pallbears will be Shawn Ferrara, Robert Mathison Jr., Ronald Mathison, Adam Mathison, Briar Mathison and David Metcalf. Honorary Pallbears will be Duane Metcalf and Ryan Mathison.`
