Tim L. Miller

Tim Miller, 59 of Sioux City, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. Abiding by Tim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a visitation, with family present, will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com Tim was born on March 19, 1954 in Akron, Iowa to Theodore and Agnes (Petty) Miller. Tim married Lela Hernandez on May 10, 1974 in Elk Point, South Dakota. He worked as a maintenance supervisor in Sioux City and Tennessee before ill health required his early retirement in 2001. Tim was an avid NASCAR fan, and was a collector of John Wayne. Tim is survived by is wife Lela Miller of Sioux City; mother Agnes Trudell of South Dakota; daughters Tammy Cummings and her husband Derrick of Sioux City and Terri Cannon and her husband Donald of Tennessee; son Gary Miller and his significant other Donna of California; brothers Dennis Miller of Tennessee and Teddy Miller of South Dakota; and 9 grandchildren. Tim was preceded in death by his father.
