She was born September 30, 1947 in Keokuk, Iowa to Glen and Ruth (McTavish) Minor. She spent her childhood moving around the Midwest, living in Iowa, Colorado, and Nebraska before finally settling in Sioux City. She was a 1965 graduate of Central High School. Sandee was married February 17, 1968 at Blessed Sacrament in Sioux City to Pat Callaghan. She worked for many years for the state of Iowa Department of Corrections eventually rising to the level of Administrative Assistant to the Director. She was proud of her affiliation with the Department of Corrections, and continued her association as a Board Member for the organization she retired from in 2008. She enjoyed decorating (and redecorating) her Dakota Dunes residence, reading, her cats, traveling, family and especially her children and grandchildren. We believe if she could be remembered for one thing it would be as an excellent mother and grandmother--which she was. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband Patrick of Dakota Dunes, a daughter Kristi and special friend Dominick of Phoenix, Arizona, a son Ryan and wife Amy and three grandchildren Natalie, Sean and Renae all of Dakota Dunes, a brother Terry and wife Kay in South Sioux City, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded by in death by her parents, a sister Shirlee, and grandchildren Kimberly and Aaron.
