Luella E. "Toots" Stabe, 98 of Hinton, Iowa passed away at a Sioux City hospital Friday April 19, 2013 Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday April 24, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton, Iowa with the Rev. Steven Stoll officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday April 23, 2013 from 4 till 8 p.m. with the family present form 6 till 8 p.m. and a prayer service are 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Luella E. Stabe was born March 21, 1915 in Hinton, Iowa the daughter of Carl and Marie (Casper) Muecke. She married Ralph Stabe February 7, 1937 in Hinton Iowa at Trinity Lutheran Church he preceded her in death April 29, 1984. Luella was a lifetime resident of Hinton where she was a, home maker. Luella was a member of Trinity Lutheran where she served on the Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aid, quilted for world relief and was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church Lamplighters since 1954 In her free time she enjoyed sewing, quilting and watching the Minnesota Twins. Mrs. Stabe is survived by two sons Keith Stabe and his wife Peggy of Granada Hills, CA. and Ken Stabe and his wife Joan of Rancho Cordova, CA. Two brothers: Merlin and Dave Muecke both of Hinton, Iowa. Nine grandchildren and 24 great-Grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister Shirley Papenhausen and one grandson Jeffry Stabe Pall bears: Gene Stabe, Justin Stabe, Mark Stabe, Will Derryberry, Randy Stabe and Gary Walters. Luella (Toots) loved a celebration, and she just had the biggest and brightest celebration of all. The choir was on perfect pitch with perfect harmony, singing "Holy, Holy, Holy". The grass was the brightest green ever seen, and most of all, Ralph was waiting for her at the gate. All of God's people said "Amen"! Memorial may be given in her name to Trinity Lutheran Church in Hinton or the Lutheran Hour ministries.
