Daniel L. Conley Jr.

Daniel L. Conley, Jr. 53 of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at a Sioux City hospital. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 5, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Daniel Jr. was born Nov. 9, 1959 in Sioux City; the son of Daniel L. and Gloria (Chesley) Conley. After Daniel passed away in 1959 Gloria married John Pueppke and together they raised Daniel Jr. He grew up in Sioux City and attended Sioux City Community Schools. He married Paula Richter Aug. 6, 1988 in Sioux City. Daniel worked for Gateway 2000 and for Darling International for many years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle and spending time outdoors. Daniel was a free spirit and enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include: 2 sons: Anthony Richter of Gainsville, FL and Daniel L. Conley, III of Sioux City, a granddaughter: Danielle Lynn Conley of Sioux City, his special friend: Lisa Taylor of Sioux City; his brother and sisters: David E. Conley of Sergeant Bluff, IA, Tamra Villegas and her husband Arturo, Trisha Moore, Toni Bolles and Tina Pueppke all of Sioux City; 2 step brothers: Tim Pueppke of Anthon, IA and John "Tony" Pueppke, Jr. of Sioux City. Daniel is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews all whom loved him. Daniel is also survived by Tim Goertz who he grew up with and has been a lifelong friend. A memorial has been established in Daniel's name.
