Kenneth W. Oehlerking, 56, of Sioux City passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Pierson, IA. Visitation will be on April 8, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Kenneth was born on March 4, 1957 in Sioux City to William and Janice (Ziesler) Oehlerking. He spent 4 years in the U.S. Navy and was later employed at Terra Industries and Darling International until he was forced to quit the work force due to health issues. Kenneth was married to Renette Dandurand on September 22, 1984. To this union two children were born, Casey and Katelyn. Casey blessed his dad with a grandson, Carter. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, playing cards, hunting and shooting pool. Kenneth is survived by his son Casey Oehlerking and fiancée Stephanie Jessen of Sloan, IA; daughter Katelyn Oehlerking of Sioux City; grandson Carter Oehlerking of Sloan, IA; sisters Cindy (Dennis) Schlichte of LeMars, IA; and Sherry Willson of Pierson, IA; a brother Randy Oehlerking of Sioux City; sister-in-law Marilyn Oehlerking of Sioux City; sister-in-law Patricia Oehlerking of Lawton, IA; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Oehlerking and a brother-in-law Keith Willson.
