Mary Jean Morris, 76, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at a Sioux City Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Father Merlin Schrad officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mary grew up with her older sister, Beverly (deceased January 11, 2013) and her younger brother, Dick (Marilyn), currently of Camdenton, MO. Mary attended Sioux City Heelan High School and graduated in 1954. She then began a successful career in data processing and programming. Her career took her to Denver, Colorado, Omaha, Nebraska, Lincoln Nebraska and then back to Sioux City, where she lived her retired years. Mary enjoyed playing cards and spider solitaire. She was an avid "Cornhusker" football fan and animal lover. Mary loved spending time with her family and was always ready to sit around the kitchen table and talk. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mary is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and sister. Those left to cherish Mary's memory are her brother, nephews, nieces, aunts, cousins and many loving friends and neighbors.
