SIOUX CITY | Anne J. Busker, 94, of Sioux City passed away Monday, March 18, 2013, at a local care facility. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Church of the Nativity Catholic Church. The body will be cremated. Entombment will be at a later date in Graceland Park Mausoleum. Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Anne was born on Oct. 30, 1918, in Sioux City, the daughter of Adam and Katherine (Stankeiwcy) Postello. Anne grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School. She married Jules M. Busker on March 14, 1942 in Jacksonville, Fla. He died on Nov. 22, 2007, in Sioux City. Anne was a current member of Church of the Nativity and a former member of Immaculate Conception and Blessed Sacrament. She had been very active in the church circles over the years. Anne enjoyed golfing and had four holes-in-one. She had been active in several golf course associations. Anne enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and shopping. In her younger years, she did modeling of furs and hats for a local clothing store. She was a member of the Sioux City Women's Club and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Survivors included her four children, Jean Kirby and her husband, Joe of Littleton, Colo., Tom Busker and his wife, Linda of Wilbur, Wash., Barbara Fey and her husband, Gary of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and Jim Busker of Sioux City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jules; a granddaughter, Julie; two sisters; and a brother.
