Linda L. Medina, 55 of Sioux City, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at her residence. A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Calvary Cemetery. A Wake Service will be held at Four Directions Community Center in Sioux City from Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Graveside Service. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements. Linda was born on October 8, 1957 in Winnebago, Nebraska to Ruperto and Olive (LeClair) Medina. She attended school in Sioux City. Linda worked for Casa Grande and was a proud homemaker for her children and grandchildren, whom she enjoyed greatly. She enjoyed cooking, always fed those who came around as she enjoyed helping everyone she could. Linda enjoyed playing "the machines" at the casino. Linda is survived by her partner Zeferino Ortega; sons Justin (Mary) Medina, Curtis Medina, Jason (Chasity) Medina; daughters Erica Medina, Latoya Medina (all of Sioux City) and Nicole Medina of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters Marilyn (Jim) Dillon of Sioux City, Patricia (Fred) Mondragon of Taos, NM; Violet Crosby of South Sioux City, NE, and Angela (Lee) Fatland of Sioux City; brothers Wayne (Lily) Medina, David (Alice) Medina, John Medina, and Rick Medina, all of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
