Joyce Ann Harstad, 53, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at her residence. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Father Merlin Schrad officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date. Joyce was born on May 9, 1959 in LeMars, IA to Jerry and Ruth (Nilles) Grage. She graduated from Sergeant Bluff - Luton High School. She was married to Bill Harstad on October 24, 1981 in Salix, IA. She was a homemaker and self employed running various businesses. She enjoyed woodworking, making glass and stained glass crafts, sewing, and embroidery work. She of course loved spending time getting lost at Hobby Lobby and Michaels buying the supplies for those crafts. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful cooking. Joyce is survived by her husband Bill Harstad of Sioux City; 4 sons, Jeff (Jasmin) Harstad of Sioux city; Dan (Melissa) Harstad of Sioux City; Mike (Kate) Harstad of Sioux City; and Brad Harstad of Iowa City; grandchildren Laylah, Alexandria and Jacob Harstad; 7 siblings Denise (Scott) Newsam of Sioux City; DiAnn (Paul) Greiner of Sioux City; Janice (Kurtis) Kracke of Sioux City; Joe (Lisa) Grage of Sergeant Bluff; Jackie (Mark) Lonsdale of Casey, IA; Bryan (Jean) Grage of South Sioux City; and Brad (Kim) Grage of Omaha, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents.
