Sarah E. Dahl, 95, a 71 year resident of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Countryside Senior Living. Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Andy Anderson officiating. There will be a visitation on Monday from 1:00 till service time with a prayer service at 1:30 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com . Sarah was born on July 30, 1917 in East Chicago, Indiana to Arthur A. and Annie (Shanks) Green. She graduated from Hornick High School. She was married to Donald Dahl on May 10, 1939 in Hornick, IA. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1990 in Sioux City. She worked at American Popcorn for 3 years and as a seamstress for 24 years at Fishgall's. Sarah enjoyed sewing, gardening and was a member and officer of Azure chapter of Eastern Star. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church of Sioux City for over 70 years. Sarah is survived by her son David and daughter-in-law Evelyn Dahl of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Sue and son-in-law Dr. Ronald Reider of Cedar Rapids, IA; four grandchildren Joshua Reider of Omaha, NE; Seth Dahl of Redding, CA; Meaghan Reider of Milwaukee, WI and Eamonn Reider of Chicago, IL; two great grandchildren Brooklyn and August Dahl of Redding, CA; two sisters Peg Unkel of Derby, KS and Lucille Sullivan of Eugene, OR.
