Thomas R. Dennison, 57, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at his residence of natural causes. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 21, 2013 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation with family present will be one hour prior to the service time. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Tom was born the son of Thomas H. and Barb (Neal) Dennison on August 8, 1955 in Akron, Iowa. He was raised in the Westfield area. He received his schooling at Westfield Elementary and later graduated from Heelan High School in 1974 where he played baseball and wrestled. Tom worked several jobs that included Nutra-Flo, Clover Leaf Cold Storage, truck driving, and most recently being the CEO of Riverside BP. Tom enjoyed a good joke and having coffee with his neighbors. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bulls fan as well as a Notre Dame Football fan. He liked spending time with his family, friends, and his two cats. Tom is survived by his parents, Thomas and Barb Dennison of Westfield, Iowa; children, Tiffany (Erik) Wood of Lincoln, Nebraska, Tom (Shawna) Dennison of Moville, Tanya Dennison of Sioux City, Trevor Dennison of Shakopee, Minnesota, and Tyler Dennison of St. Paul, Minnesota; three brothers, Pat Dennison of Akron, Bill (Janet) Dennison of McCook Lake, South Dakota, and John Dennison of Westfield; two sisters, Deanna (Roger) Heyl of Elk Point, South Dakota and Kathryn (Kirk) Banks of Westfield; six grandchildren, Emma and Bennett Wood, Jake, Ty, and Halle Dennison and Ellyse Dennison; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Gilly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, Mike.
