Mathew Farrell Dean, 24, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at a local hospital following injuries sustained in a car accident. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday, January 18, 2013 at New Life In Christ with Pastor James D. Mosley officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 4-8 P.M. with family present from 6-8 P.M. and a Prayer Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Mathew was born November 22, 1988 in Sioux City, the son of Rochelle and William. He attended East High School and graduated from Dennison Job Corp with a specialty in painting. The family moved to West Memphis, Arkansas for a short time before returning to Sioux City. Mathew worked with his sister at her business Redbones Café in Sioux City. He was a member of New Life In Christ. Mathew was a very outgoing person and loved to spend time with his family and friends. He loved athletics, video games, music, fishing and barbecues. Mathew is survived by his children Sophia Dean and Mathew Dean of Lincoln, NE; his mother Rochelle and special friend Robert of Sioux City; sister Sarah Dean of Sioux City; brothers: Elijah and Jeremiah Dean of Sioux City; his father William "Boo" Dean of Sioux City; a half brother William and wife Amber Freemont; grandmothers: Lorraine Dean of Sioux City and Fran Benson of South Sioux City; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Arthur and Iola Sarah Clifton. Casket Bearers will be Dimitri Dean, Lee Dean, Martin Williams, Buddy Williams, Marcus Plummber, and Derrick Ford. A Memorial Fund was established in Mathew's name at the First National Bank.
