Joyette L. Young, 51, of Sioux City, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at her residence. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no local services. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Joyette was born the daughter of Robert E. "Bob" and Marlene J. (Ruffenach) Young on May 24, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was raised in the Minneapolis area and received her schooling at Iroquois High School. Joy had lived in Sioux City for the past 30 years. She collected porcelain dolls, hot wheels, and snow globes. She also enjoyed listening to her extensive music collection. Joyette is survived by her parents, Bob and Marlene Young of Huron, South Dakota; five children, Shawn, Shannon, Erik, Sean, and Michael; three brothers, Jerry (Fay) Young of Woonsocket, South Dakota, Jason Young of New Hope, Minnesota, and Bob Young, Jr. of Minneapolis, Minnesota; three sisters, Leslee Tuffel of Denver, Colorado, Shelly Holmes of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Jennifer Zieres of Wolsey, South Dakota. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one sister, Carrie.
