Christina M. Jacobs

Christina "Chrissy" M. Jacobs, 21, of Sioux City passed away Monday, January 7, 2013 due to an unexpected illness. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church with The Very Reverend Armand J. Bertrand officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Chrissy was born on December 27, 1991 to Joseph "Joe" and Elizabeth "Betty" (Sampers) Jacobs. She graduated from East High School in 2010. She worked in sales in the retail business. She loved to go shopping, and loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed art and was very proud of her new car and loved working at her job. Chrissy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Chrissy is survived by her parents Joe and Betty Jacobs of Sioux City; 7 siblings Angie (Troy) Bird of Lawrence, KS; Wendy Erickson and significant other Mike Wingert of Sioux City; Joseph (Cindy) Erickson of Sioux City; James (Victoria) Erickson of Glenwood, IA; Sarah Clay of Sioux City; Matthew Jacobs of Sioux City; and Mark Jacobs of Sioux City; nieces and nephews Amber Temple, Danielle and Taylor Bird, Christopher, Joseph, Morgan, Donovin, Isabella, and Briahna Erickson and Savanah Walker; and several aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Wayne and Mary Jean Jacobs, maternal grandparents James and Vivian Sampers and an uncle James W. Sampers.
