SIOUX CITY | Ruby Jean Taggart, 94 of Sioux City, IA died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at her home. Visitation with the family present will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. A private family graveside will be held at a later date at Logan Park Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.meyerbroschapels.com Ruby Jean was born February 14, 1918 in Moville, Iowa the daughter of Arthur and Senna (Ellison) Willer. She grew up and graduated from Moville High School. On July 22, 1939 she married Charles Henry Taggart in South Sioux City, NE. She joined her husband's business, Taggart's Greenhouse, from 1941 until 1947. In 1949 they founded and operated Terry Lee Flower Shop. Charlie died October 15, 1965 in Sioux City. Ruby retired in 1993. She loved gardening and enjoyed flowers. Most of all, Ruby loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her son, Terry Lee Taggart and his wife, Pat of Hinton, IA; 3 granddaughters, Kari Weber and her husband, David of Huntington Beach, California, Cam Kounkel and her husband, Derek of Hinton, IA and Samantha Taggart and Trent West of Sioux City; 7 great-grandchildren, Zack, Lindsey, Hannah, Lauren, Jackson, Charlee and Taver; a great-great granddaughter, Keira; and a longtime friend, Ardella Fead. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
