Lenny William Farley, 49, of Spencer, IA formerly of Sioux City passed away on Tuesday October 30, 2012 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Per his family's wishes his body will be cremated. There will be a visitation on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. with family present at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. There will be a private graveside service in the Logan Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Lenny was born on April 24, 1963 to Charles and Sherryann (Berens) Farley. He graduated from North High School and attended WIT. He worked in the IT field for over 30 yrs. Previously to coming to GMD Solutions in 2011 as a system Engineer, Lenny worked at the Minnesota Department of Revenue, Thrivent Financial, Hughes Space Systems, Raytheon, and Mystic Lake Casino. He holds an MCSE, MCP, MCP+ Internet certificates from Microsoft, CNA from Novell and is also an A+ Certified Service Technician. Lenny loved to play pool and darts, go fishing, camping, watching car races and racing R/C cars. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family. He loved his step daughters dearly and always treated them as his own. He is survived by his mother Sherryann (Edward) Luft of Sioux City; father Charles (Mary) Farley of Wakefield, KS; 3 step daughters Sydney Jo Frye; Terren Morgan Frye and Tawney Mae Hollister all of Minnesota; 3 brothers James (Monique) Farley of Papillion, NE; Kenneth Farley of Sioux City and Jeremy (Angela) Farley of Sioux City; step sister Beth Ann Dunn of Wakefield, KS; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Joseph and Marie Farley and maternal grandparents Arthur and Opal Berens.
