Eileen Rys

Eileen L. Rys, 81, of Sioux City passed on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Touchstone Living Center. Graveside services will be on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Calvary Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Erpelding officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com Eileen was born on May 16, 1931 in Sioux City to Louis and Nettie (Jonas) Rys. She graduated from Heelan High School in 1949. She retired from Heelan High School in 2002 as an Assistant Registrar for the school. She was previously employed with Briar Cliff University and Swift & Company. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time with her family. She was a long time member at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Eileen is survived by her 2 sisters, Joanne (Ronald) Zinn of Sioux City; Marilyn Hochwender of Omaha, NE; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Jim Rys and a sister Delores Frink. Memorials may be sent to Heelan Catholic High School
