SIOUX CITY | Roena Rose Wamberg, 83 of Sioux City, IA passed away Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at a local hospital. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at the Church of All Nations, 3100 W. 4th St., with Rev. Martha Anderson officiating. There will be no visitation. Roena was born March 25, 1929 in Bloomfield, NE the daughter of Ernest and Ada (Hall) Cook. She graduated from Bloomfield High School in May of 1946 and married Darrell Wamberg on Sept. 18, 1946 in Madison, SD. He died May 25, 2007 in Elko, Nevada. Roena enjoyed crafts but most of all, enjoyed going dancing with her husband, Darrell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Church of All Nations. Survivors include her children, Steve Wamberg and wife, Jean of Sioux City, Tom Wamberg and wife, Deb of North Sioux City, SD, Judy Bennett and husband, Randy of Olathe, KS, Kathy Keairns and husband, Jim of Littleton, CO and Robert Wamberg and wife, Kim of Highlands Ranch, CO; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a brother, Keith Cook and a sister, Karen Brown; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell, her brothers, Dale, Billy, Hyle and Ernie Cook and sisters, Ferne Wamberg, Arlyce Spader, Naomi Griffin, Electa Berglund and Lylas Korthouse.
