SIOUX CITY | Elaine D. Dickson, 83 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at Touchstone Living Center. Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday with the family present 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Elaine was born March 13, 1929 in Sioux City the daughter of Lawrence and Helen (Stoltz) Tucker. She graduated from East High School in 1947. On Oct. 18, 1947 she married Richard E. Dickson in Sioux City. He died March 9, 2007. Elaine was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed reading, gardening, golfing, bowling and doing puzzles. In earlier years she enjoyed extended motorcycle trips with her husband. Elaine was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and was a Den Mother. She was an active, longtime member of Morningside Lutheran Church. Survivors include 3 children, Roger Dickson and his wife, Janis of Harrisonburg, Virginia, Rick Dickson of Sioux City and Judy Stolpe and her husband, Ritch of Sioux City; and aunt and uncle, Gladys and Ernie Zellmer of Orangeburg, So. Carolina; a brother-in-law, Gerald Dickson and his wife Nancy of Florida; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and another on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, Glenn Tucker. Pallbearers will be Chad Stolpe, Brett Stolpe, Eric Dickson, Andrew Dickson, Jody Anderson and Lyle Howard. Memorials may be made in her name to Hospice of Siouxland.
