Margaret F. Ronfeldt, 81, of Bronson, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at a local care facility. Funeral mass will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oto, Iowa with Reverend Daniel Greving officiating. Visitation will be Friday, September 21, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M. with the family present from 6 to 8 P.M. with a Rosary at 5:30 P.M. and a Vigil at 7 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Oto, Iowa. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Margaret was born the daughter of Nick J. and Anna F. (Hehn) Gotto on September 29, 1930 in Sioux City. She received her education in Oto, Iowa. Margaret married Joseph E. Ronfeldt on January 17, 1949 in Oto, Iowa. She was a lifelong resident of the Bronson area. She worked for 19 years as a custodian at the Lawton - Bronson Elementary School, retiring in 1992. Margaret enjoyed working in her garden and cooking many meals in her kitchen. She also liked flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Margaret is survived by; two daughters, Linda McDonald of Sloan and Judy (Dennis) Herbst of Bronson; one son, Donald Ronfeldt and special friend, Leah Wolfe of Bronson; two sisters, Mae Handke of Bronson and Doris (Joe) O'Connell of Smithland; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Leo, Joseph, Henry, and Nicholas Gotto; two sisters, Katherine Lewis and Anna Handke; and one son-in-law, Leonard McDonald.
