Annette Held HINTON, Iowa | Annette Held, 79, passed away September 8, 2012 in Le Mars, IA. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 11th at Hinton United Methodist Church with Pastor Kollen Queener officiating. Private graveside services will be in Floyd Valley-Melbourne Cemetery, rural Hinton. Visitation with the family present will be 6-8 p.m. Monday with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be posted online at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Annette was born on July 9, 1933 to Ray and Jeannette (Madigan) Copper and grew up in Omaha. She graduated from South Omaha High School in 1951 and moved to Hinton in 1953 after marrying Eugene Held, beginning a 53-year partnership in life, farming and photography. Together they touched hundreds of families throughout the region as they photographed weddings, family reunions, graduations, Plymouth County Fair grand champions and other events. Both were lifetime supporters of 4-H and active in Farm Bureau. Gene passed away in October of 2006. Survivors include son Kevin of Hinton and daughter Kirsten of Madison, Wisconsin. Annette's family is grateful for the dedicated caregivers at Plymouth Manor Care Center, the June Nylen Cancer Center and Hospice of Siouxland for their compassionate service over the past year.
