Marjorie "Jane" Hetrick-Rose, 86, of Homer, NE passed away on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Regency Square Nursing Home in South Sioux City, NE. Funeral services for Jane will be on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Rev. Tess Panamarow officiating. Burial will be on the Evergreen Cemetery in Walthill, NE. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Jane was born on March 14, 1926 in Turin, IA to Eugene and Olive (Leff) Morse. After graduation from Central High School and later in life earned her LPN degree. She worked as an LPN and also for IBP and Swifts. Jane was married to Philip H. Hetrick on May 19, 1944 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1997 in Sioux City. She was later married to Gerald Rose on March 14, 1998 in Nebraska. He preceded her in death in 2005 in Homer, NE. Jane enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, and making afghans. More than all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and entertaining family. She is survived by her 6 children Philip E. (Karen) Hetrick of Walthill, NE; Janice (Bill) Sampson of Sioux City; Janet Dawdy of West Virgini; Marc H. (Beth) Hetrick of Monument, CO; Gregory "Greg" (Joy) Hetrick of Rice, MN; and Jack (Kim) Hetrick of Walthill, NE; 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 2 brothers Roger (Betty) Morse of California and Bob (Linda) Morse of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, son Charlie "Chuck", grandson Gregory Jr., brothers Richard and Gary, and a son-in-law Jim Dawdy.
