Patricia A. "Patty" Theisen

Patricia A. "Patty" Theisen, 80, of North Sioux City, South Dakota, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her residence. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ellendale with Monsignor Mark Duchaine officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 4 to 8 P.M. with the family present from 6 to 8 P.M. and a vigil service at 7 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Ellendale. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Patty was born the daughter of George and Leona (Crowley) Lehmann on September 22, 1931 in Sioux City. She received her schooling in the Liberty Schools in rural Merrill. She married William Theisen and the couple divorced years later. She had lived in the Morningside area before moving to Dakota City where she lived for 20 years. She had recently moved to North Sioux City. Over the years Patty had worked for Paddock Steakhouse, the Indian Hills Super Value, Penncorp Life Insurance, and John Morrell. Patty's family was the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed her children and attending her grandchildren's activities. Patty had many friends that she enjoyed visiting. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, and making blankets for her family. Patty is survived by three sons, Jack "Jake" (Julie) Theisen of Sioux City, Jeff Theisen of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Bill Theisen, Jr. of North Carolina; three daughters, Janet Callahan of San Diego, California, Jeanne Theisen of Sioux City, and Sherry (Steve) Ritz of Merrill; one brother, Larry (Suzy) Lehmann of Sioux City; one sister, Cookie Funck of North Sioux City; two step-brothers, Chuck Lehmann of New York, and John Lehmann of Oregon; one half brother, George Lehmann of Oregon; one step-sister, Bonnie Meek of Oregon; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jake; one granddaughter, Jenny Teel; one sister-in-law, Sharon; and one brother-in-law, Bob.
