Naomi S. Wallman, 95, of Columbia, Mo., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, in Columbia. Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Tom LoVan of Morningside Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Naomi was born July 14, 1916 in Charter Oak, Iowa, to Herbert G. and Meta (Schelm) Shumway. She graduated from Charter Oak High School and then taught country school around Charter Oak. She later graduated from Morningside College and received her teaching degree. She taught school for many years in the Sioux City Community School District. Naomi married Charles Wallman. He passed away in July of 1997. While living in Sioux City, Naomi was a long-time member of Morningside Lutheran Church. Survivors include her nieces and nephews; many friends and former students.
