Jill M. Schwartz

Jill Marie Schwartz, 36, of Sioux City passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Sanford Hospital from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral services for Jill will be on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point, SD with Father David Roehrich officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Point City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. with family present from 6-8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Jill was born on June 11, 1976 in Sioux City to Norman and Jeanette (Scheitler) Schwartz. She graduated from Hinton High School and received her associates degree in Dental Science from WITT. She was currently working as a Dental Assistant at North Sioux Dental Clinic. Her job was a passion for her, she truly loved what she did, she always said she never had a bad day at work. Jill was married to Mark Johnson on August 4, 2001. To this union 2 children were born, Cole and Max. The marriage ended in divorce. Jill had a real zest for life. She enjoyed the outdoors, from taking in the rays of the sun, being around water and going on bicycle and motorcycle rides. She also enjoyed working out, listening to live music and most importantly, being with her kids, family and friends. She will be fondly remembered for always having her nail clippers nearby. Those left to treasure her memory are her 3 children, Cole, Max, and Brilee Johnson all of Sioux City; parents Norman and Jeanette Schwartz of Hinton; 2 sisters Amy Schwartz and her son Jackson and her fiancée Jeff Tebbe of Tampa, FL; Kim (Jeff) Yonker of Atlanta, GA; and their children Lauren and Pierce; brother Kory (Stephanie) Schwartz of Elk Point, SD and their children Ravyn and Keatyn; paternal grandmother Louise Schwartz of Laurens, IA and her special friend Tom Vitzthum; and Jill's special friend Jason Lohr of Sioux Falls, SD. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather Willis Schwartz and maternal grandparents Alvin and Caroline Scheitler. Pallbearers will be her god parents Stan and Jan Scheitler, her cousins Tonya Harpenau, Troy Scheitler, Todd Scheitler and Toby Scheitler. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amy Schwartz, Kim Yonker, Kory Schwartz, Jeff Tebbe, Jeff Yonker, and Stephanie Schwartz.
