McCOOK LAKE, S.D. | Brady James Burhoop, 7-month old son of Craig and Julie Burhoop of McCook Lake, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus Friday, June 22, 2012, at Children's Hospital in Omaha from complex medical issues. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sunnybrook Community Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Jeff Moes officiating. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens, Sioux Center, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a brief time of prayer at 6:30 p.m., at the church. Brady was born on Nov. 27, 2011, in Sioux City, the son of Craig and Julie (Rens) Burhoop. Brady enjoyed sucking on his binky, watching his jungle mobile, all the love his nurses gave him and especially the special visits from Grammy and Aunt Cindy. Survivors include his parents, Craig and Julie Burhoop of McCook Lake; two sisters, Abigail and Isabella, both at home; paternal grandparents, Jean and William Pullen of Omaha, and B.E. "Doc" and Beverly Burhoop of Grand Island, Neb.; maternal grandparents, William and Joan Rens of Sioux Center, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Kimberly and Richard Troia of Omaha, Cynthia and Thomas Weber of Omaha, Curtis and Kimberly Burhoop of Lincoln, Neb., Linda and Grant Diekevers of Sibley, Iowa, Robert and Rebecca Rens of Sioux Center, Ronald and Stephanie Rens of Sioux City, and Gwen and Kris Marra of Sioux Center; and 24 loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents. Pallbearers will be Robert and Ronald Rens. Memorials may be made in his name to GiGi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Awareness Center in Sioux City or Sioux Center Christian School's Building Fund for improving their facility for students with special needs.
