SIOUX CITY|Dolores M. Frink, 83 of Sioux City, IA passed away Saturday, June 16, 2012 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Rev. Jerome Cosgrove officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday with the family present 6-8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be posted online at www.meyerbroschapels.com . Dolores was born Sept. 17, 1928 in Sioux City the daughter of Louis and Antoinette (Jonas) Rys. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1946 and married Patrick J. Frink on Sept. 11, 1951. During her career, she worked for I.P.S., the Sioux City Catholic Diocese office and Pecaut and Co., where she worked for more than 25 years. Her husband, Pat died May 17, 2001 in Sioux City. Dolores was a devoted wife and mother who loved her family. She also loved bird watching and tending to her rose garden. In earlier years she enjoyed the family vacations every summer to Osage Beach, MO in the Lake of the Ozarks. She was a lifelong member of St. Boniface Church. She is survived by her sons, Scott Frink of Sioux City and Randy Frink and his wife, Liz of Park Ridge, Illinois; 4 grandchildren, Sam, Olivia, Colin and Mary Frink; a daughter-in-law, Linda Frink of Sioux City and her daughter, Michael Ann Lane; 3 sisters, Eileen Rys of Sioux City, Joanne Zinn and her husband, Roger of Sioux City and Marilyn Hochwender of Omaha, Nebraska; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, a son, Steven, an infant son, Jonathan, her parents and a brother, Jim Rys. Memorials may be made in her name to the Siouxland Humane Society.
