Beatrice L. Lilly, 74, of Le Mars passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at a Sioux City nursing home. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City, with the Rev. Martin Young of Christ's Love Ministries officiating. Private family graveside services will be at a later date in Willow Cemetery, Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. Bea L. Lilly was born on Jan. 23, 1938, in Sioux City, the daughter of Walt and Anna (Fuller) Porter. Bea graduated from Ellis School of Cosmetology in Sioux City and was self-employed for many years as a cosmetologist. Bea married Robert E. Hanner on July 6, 1956, and later divorced him on Nov. 8, 1973. She then married Frank Lilly on Aug. 16, 1974, in Elk Point, S.D. He preceded her in death on Dec. 2, 1991. Bea was a resident of Holly Springs for 20 years, Sioux City for two years, Merrill, Iowa, for 12 years and Le Mars for 21 years. In her free time, she loved bowling, crocheting and camping. Survivors include three sons, Duane Hanner and his wife Sabrina of Sioux City, Lyle Hanner and his wife Cindy of Quimby, Iowa, and Richard Hanner and his wife Peggy of Sloan, Iowa; a daughter, Bobbi Hanner-Presnall and her husband Chris of Le Mars; three sisters, Charlotte (Clifford) Britton, Betty Wieck, and Mary (Vernon) Graham; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Jim Porter; a sister, Evelyn Morgan; and a grandson, Tyler Hanner.
