Erna Nash, 97, of Sioux City died Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at Northpark Senior Living. Memorial services will be 11:45 a.m. today at Congregation Beth Shalom, with Rabbi Guy Greene officiating. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Erna was born on July 30, 1914, in Austria, the daughter of Julius and Anna (Wachs) Kornblueth. She grew up in Austria and attended schools there. She attended a business school for two years in Vienna. She married Walter Nash in 1936. He died in 1982. Erna and Walter came to the United States in 1940. She worked at Green Gables for 45 years. She was a member of Shaare Zion and at the time of her death a member of Congregation Beth Shalom. Survivors include two sons, James Nash of Omaha, and Jerry Nash of Kansas City, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Jonah Nash and Leah Nash. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Dave Korter. Memorials may be made in her name to Congregation Beth Shalom.
