Kevin Patrick Cleary

Kevin Patrick Cleary, 56, of Sioux City passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 04, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital. Memorial services for Kevin will be on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Neil Peck officiating. Burial of his cremains will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Kevin was born to John Francis and Shirley (Beauchene) Cleary on February 14, 1956 in Inglewood, CA. He worked for years at Briar Cliff University in the food service department. Kevin loved to watch and cheer on Briar Cliff in all their activities. He also had a passion for watching NASCAR and supporting Dale Earnhardt Jr. He also enjoyed listening to the police and fire departments scanner. Kevin is survived by his mother Shirley Yates of Sioux City; sisters Jeanette (William) Drewry of Clive, IA; and Cindy (Doug) Willrett of Middleton, WI; and he was a loving uncle to several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step father Maxie Yates and a brother Mark Cleary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be giving to the Briar Cliff University Athletic Department.
