Gwendolyn Vae "Gwen" Langley, 91 of Sioux City, died Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Embassy Care Center of Sergeant Bluff, after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30th at the funeral home with family present at 6:00 p.m. and a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening. Gwen was born on June 14, 1920 in Pierson, Ia, the daughter of Guy Kindig and Ada Anne K. (Beeghley). She was united in marriage to Richard Langley for 70 years. Gwen was a homemaker and lived in Sioux City and rural Westfield, Ia. most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ, Akron, Ia. Surviviors include her husband, Richard (Ossie) E. Langley Sr. of Sergeant Bluff, Ia; sons, Bill and (Mary Ann) of Sioux City; Christine and (Jim) Van Donselaar of Sioux City, Patricia and (Keith) Peterson Sloan, Ia, Jerry and (Amanda) of Westfield, Ia, Lucille Langley (Sampson) of Sioux City, and David and (Ella) of Springfield, Virginia. Step-sons; Richard Jr. and (Nadine) of Sioux City; Jack and (Sheila) of Sioux City. Sister-in-law Barbara Kindig of Sioux City; 16 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grand children. She was proceeded in death by her parents; and brothers; Gerald, Sherman (Duane), and Guy Jr. and grandsons Ricky and Jon Langley. Palbearers will be Steve Langley, Brian Peterson, Jeremy McMillan, Mike Sampson, Jeff Langley, Curt Langley. Memorials should be directed to the Langley family.
