SIOUX CITY -- Dorothy H. Jahde, 95, of Sioux City passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012, at Touchstone Living Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2012 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Russell C. Senstad officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Dorothy was born on March 27, 1917, in Sioux City, to Albert and Bertha (Anderson) Nystrom. She received her education in the Sioux City Public Schools and graduated from East High. Dorothy worked at the Sioux City Stockyards with Long and Hansen in her early years before becoming a legal secretary for the Margolin Law Firm and other law offices. She married Leonard Jahde on Jan. 7, 1942, in Sioux City. Dorothy was a past member of the Stockettes when working at the stockyards, and enjoyed her membership at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Dorothy is survived by her son, Loren "Skip" Jahde and his wife, Colette of Sioux City; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard in 1988; daughter, Suzanne; sister, Frances; brothers, Paul and Alder "Bud"; and sister-in-law, Doris.
