DES MOINES -- Leigh James Stull, 82, of Des Moines died peacefully Monday, April 9, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd., in Sioux City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Iles Funeral Home-Westover Chapel in Des Moines. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Leigh was born on January 24, 1930, in Des Moines, to Fillmore and Ferne Edna (Hollingsworth) Stull. He attended Lincoln High School. Leigh married Marlene Uhl on April 8, 1961. Sunday was their 51st weddings anniversary. Leigh worked for Allied Insurance for 49 years as a field auditor. In his earlier years, he was active in Boy Scouts leadership and Right to Life. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Marlene Stull; a son, Jeffrey (Melissa) Stull; a daughter, Julia (Chris) McAllister; five grandchildren, Brittany Stull, Heather Stull, Danielle Stull, Ryan McAllister, and Shelby McAllister; two sisters-in-law, Luann (Robert) Bertrand and Ramona (Richard) Plendl; and a brother-in-law, Patrick Uhl.
