Daryl M. Daniels

SIOUX CITY -- Daryl M. Daniels, 58, of Sioux City died Saturday, March 31, 2012, at his residence. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Floyd E. Brown officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences can be directed to meyerbroschapels.com. Daryl was born on August 29, 1953, in Sioux City, the son of Myrtle and James Daniels. He graduated from Central High School in 1971. He attended Morningside College briefly before beginning a 30-plus year career at Interbake Foods. Daryl retired in June 2011. Daryl was an avid Oakland Raiders fan and replica model aircraft hobbyist. He was loved by children and enjoyed sharing his favorite science fiction films with his sons. Daryl is survived by his sons, Ezra Daniels of Chicago, Ill., and Sedale Daniels of Gainesville, Fla.; sisters, Darla Burns of Sioux City and Diana Daniels of Inglewood, Calif.; and brothers, David Daniels of Sioux Falls, S.D., Duane Daniels of Dallas, Texas, and Derek Daniels of Cherokee, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myrtle and James; one brother, Damon; and one sister, Donna Kay.
