Norine L. Kott

SIOUX CITY -- Norine L. Kott, 83, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, April 1, 2012, at a local nursing home. Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd., with the Rev. Roger Madden officiating. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Norine, the daughter of Ralph and Lainys (Ebelheiser) Rippey, was born on April 26, 1928, in Sioux City. She graduated from Le Mars (Iowa) High School and later from Clarkson Nursing School. She worked as a visiting nurse for Armour, then was a nursing instructor for Western Iowa Tech Community College. Before her retirement, she worked for Marian Health Center. Norine is survived by her daughter, Dana (Bobby) Roberts of Cypress, Texas; a brother, Jim (Selma) Rippey of Trinity, Texas; a sister, Barbara Anthony of Walnut Creek, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Rachel and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, John "Jack" Rippey.
