SIOUX CITY -- David G. West, 83, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Casa De Paz Nursing Home. Memorial services for David will be on Sunday, April 1, 2012 at his residence at 4:00 p.m. with a picnic style dinner to follow, the family encourages you to bring your lawn chairs. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. He lived in Washington State and California before settling in Sioux City in the early 1970's. He worked as a private contractor(ing?) roofer and also ran his own auction company and was an auctioneer. Besides his love of auctions, he enjoyed spending time with his family at social functions. He is survived by his son Edwin Horn II of Fort Madison, IA; daughter Ashley Horn of Sioux City; and grandchildren Morgan Carey and Edwin Horn. He was preceded in death by his mother and long time companion Elizabeth Horn.
