SIOUX CITY -- Doris M. Mundt of Sioux City passed away March 26, 2012, at her residence. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Soldier, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present at 6 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Doris was born on November 14, 1917, to William Mundt and Anna (Muenster) Mundt. She attended school in Ricketts and Charter Oak, Iowa. She graduated from Buena Vista College. She taught school for seven years in the Ricketts and Denison, Iowa, area and in Kingsley, Iowa, for two years. Doris moved to Sioux City and worked at Hine and Company accounting firm for 39 years, retiring in 1983. Doris was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Women's League and the Lydia Circle. She volunteered her time with the A.I.D. Center and St. Paul's Lutheran Church and School. Doris is survived by her sister-in-law, Evelyn Mundt; nieces, Anitra Koski, JoNel Mundt, and Judy Burk; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John; and her sister, Ellen. Memorials may be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Hospice of Siouxland.
