SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Carmen Castro, 77, of South Sioux City passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Carmen was born March 15, 1935, in Nipomo San Luis Obispo, Calif., to Luis and Guadalupe (Ramirez) Guevara. Carmen married Ezequiel "Zeke" Castro on August 10, 1995. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2011, in Dakota City. She was a housewife. In her free time, she loved to entertain, sing, and dance. Survivors include her son, Zeke and his wife, Norma; four daughters, Angela, Veronica, Martha and Christine; six sisters, Andrea, Julia, Francis, Linda, LuLu and Cece; two grandchildren in Sioux City, Zeke III and Sierra; several other grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
