SOUTH SIOUX CITY -- Saundra L. "Sally" Crowe, 71, of South Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at her home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. today, March 16, 2012 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Sioux City. Visitation will be one hour prior to services today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Condolences may be posted online at www.meyerbroschapels.com. Sally was born Sept. 11, 1940, in South Sioux City, the daughter of Antone James and Mildred Ella (Garner) Ernest. She graduated from South Sioux City High School. On Sept. 12, 1959, she married Bernard E. "Gene" Crowe at St. Michael's Church. Sally was a secretary at South Sioux City Middle School. She was also self-employed. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Church. Sally loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, any kind of yard work, decorating and cooking for the holidays. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Gene; three children and their spouses, Toni (Steve) Cronin of Jefferson, S.D., and Tracy (Joe) Keefer and Patrick (Lora) Crowe, all of South Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Drew Cronin, Erika (Brian) Arp, Kody and Karter Keefer and Brandon and Kelly Crowe; two great-grandchildren, Beckett and Grady Arp; a nephew, Rick (Joan) Robinette; a niece, Pam (Russ) McComsey; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister and her husband, Shirley and Jim Robinette. Pallbearers will be Drew Cronin, Kody Keefer, Karter Keefer, Brandon Crowe, Joe Keefer and Steve Cronin.
