DAKOTA CITY -- Nor Lor, 96, of Marysville, Calif., formerly of Dakota City, passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Sioux City. Interment will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. A beloved mother to all, Nor Lor was born July 8, 1915, in Laos. Nor was a naturally gifted agriculturalist and a merchant who was fluent in at least five languages. With her God-given talents, wit and solid sense of negotiation, Nor helped build her husband's wealth and rise to a prestigious position in a Lao village. Survivors include her children, Chao Lee Xiong, Xia Lee Moua, Yang Lee, Andy Lee, Nhia Leng Vang, Chia Koua Xiong, Chao Lor Lee and Ntxhi Yang; 20 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren.
