WESTFIELD, Iowa -- Amy Lynn (Graves) Mace, 44, of Westfield passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 5, 2012, in Westfield. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Daniel Guenther officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 5 to 8 p.m. and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Amy was born December 7, 1967, in Sioux City, the daughter of Douglas and Mary Jane (Bennett) Graves. She grew up in Sioux City. She was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and graduated from Heelan High School in 1987. Amy married Rick Mace on June 15, 1991, in Sioux City. She worked for Courage Homes and then at Target for more than 25 years. Amy enjoyed gardening, flowers, hiking and baking cookies. She was always helping people and volunteered at church, school and the Soup Kitchen. She also enjoyed her dog, Ringo. Survivors include her husband, Rick of Westfield; two daughters, Elizabeth Mace of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Katlyn Mace of Westfield; her mother, Mary Jane Graves of Sioux City; her brothers, sisters and their spouses, Dan and Cheri Graves of Salix, Iowa, Jill and Dave Rodman of Sergeant Bluff, Tim and Denice Graves of Sioux City, John Graves of Sioux City, Jane and Mark Davenport of Sioux City, Mike and Jillian Graves of Sioux City, and Bill and Shannon Graves of Sioux City; her father and mother-in-law, Richard and Fern Mace of Westfield; a special aunt, Maureen "Susty" Johnson of Omaha; her uncle, Jim Bennett of Minneapolis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Graves; and two uncles, Donald Johnson and Tim Bennett. Pallbearers will be Tom, Joe and Andy Rodman, Dan Nettleton, Dennis Mace and Dennis Mace Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be all of the people that Amy touched during her life. Memorials may be directed to the Soup Kitchen or the Gospel Mission.
