Waldo C. McCuddin, 75, of Sioux City died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, in Sioux City. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Miller of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Waldo C. McCuddin was born March 16, 1937, in Sioux City, the son of Orville and Leona (Junck) McCuddin. He graduated from high school and attended a refrigeration school. He married Carol Diment on March 24, 1956, in Elk Point, S.D. He worked as a refrigeration mechanic for Thermo King before retiring in 1998. In his free time, he loved hunting, hiking, walking outdoors, bird watching, camping, boating and coaching Little League. He also loved spending time with his family. He was known as the man who could fix anything. Survivors include his wife, Carol McCuddin; two sons, David McCuddin of Des Moines, and Daniel McCuddin of Sioux City; a daughter, Vicki Whaley and her husband, Chuck of Des Moines; a sister, Darlene Mercural of Sioux City; and seven grandchildren, Daniel, Dillon, Nathan, Julia, Hannah, Jennifer, and Shannon. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eldon McCuddin; and two sisters, Bev Beller and Marilyn Buddi.
