SIOUX CITY -- Jeanvieve Clancy, infant daughter of Rose Buffalo Chief and Robert Clancy Jr. of Sioux City, was brought into the world Sunday, February 19, 2012, and taken home on angel's wings at birth. Services for God's newest angel will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Paul's Episcopal Indian Mission. She will be laid to rest in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012, and will continue until service time Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. She is survived by her mommy and daddy, Rose Buffalo Chief and Robert Clancy Jr.; her brothers, Chadwick, Luther, Robert III, and Talynn; maternal grandpa, Elliott Buffalo Chief; paternal grandparents, Janice and Robert Clancy Sr.; aunts and uncles, Melva Big Bear, Jelsen, Martel, Elliott Jr. and Cherrell Buffalo Chief, Catherine Clancy, and Cynthia and her husband, Nathan Hohl; along with many more great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandma, Cheryl Cook-Buffalo Chief; great-grandparents, Lyle and Philomene Henry and John Clancy and Joyce Clancy-Closson. Pallbearers will be Nathan Hohl, Jelsen Buffalo Chief, Anthony Pretends Eagle, and Willie Arpan. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Scott Clancy III, Shane Rouillard and Charlotte Hohl.
