Marie C. Herman

Marie C. Herman, 75, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at a Sioux City Hospital with her family by her side. There will be a public visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with a service to follow starting at 8:00 p.m. with Father Gary Snyder officiating. There will be a private family graveside service in the Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Marie was born on August 19, 1936 in Sioux City to George J. and Anna M. (Cote) Herman. She worked for many years in the Kitchen and the Office at Good Samaritan Nursing Home. She enjoyed drawing, reading books, fishing in her younger days, and cooking, however the most important part of her life was her grandchildren and being active in their lives. She is survived by her son Alan (Dawn) Herman of Sioux City; 2 grandsons Clayton (Amber) Herman of Sioux City; and Scott (Angie) Herman of Omaha, NE; 6 great grandchildren Dillin, Caitlin, Abigail, Carleigh, Benjamin, and Victoria Herman; and a brother George (Sandra) Herman of San Antonio, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
