Darlene M. Petitjean

Darlene M. Petitjean, 84, of Sioux City passed away Friday, February 10, 2012 at Sunrise Retirement Community. Private graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Darlene was born October 25, 1927 in Sioux City, the daughter of Darl and Lena (Bendinger) Lawton. She married Robert Petitjean on February 27, 1946 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on May 24, 1973 in Sioux City. Darlene was a homemaker and also helped her husband run their electrical business. She loved to bowl and golf in her younger years, and was a past member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughters: Lynn and husband Pat Brady of South Sioux City, NE and Junie and husband Rick Casey of Sioux City; 5 grandchildren: Amy and husband Kevin Lein, Molly and husband Brian Leiting, Ryan Brady, Kristin Witkowski, and Brett and wife Ashley Casey; 7 great grandchildren; and a brother Jack and wife Laura Lawton of Yuma, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Mary Miller.
