SIOUX CITY -- Irma G. Hanson, 87, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012, at Casa de Paz. Per her wishes, the body will be cremated. Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 11, in Memorial Park Cemetery (time to be set later). Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Irma was born January 26, 1925, in Hartington, Neb., to Erick and Sophia (Olsen) Norman. She graduated from Liberty High School in Pleasant Valley, Neb. Irma was married to Harold Hanson in South Sioux City 0n February 11, 1978. Irma worked for many years as a bartender at the Paddock, Rightmeyers, Martha's 27th, and Taylors Tap. Irma enjoyed telling stories. She is survived by her two sons, Barry (Felecia) Armstrong of Omaha, and Bruce (Virginia) Armstrong of Scottsbluff, Neb.; a daughter, Jerrine Kraiger of Sioux Falls, S.D.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; three brothers; and three sisters.
