SIOUX CITY -- Theresa G. Frisch, 100, of Sioux City, formerly of Wyandotte, Mich., died Monday, January 23, 2012, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home. Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, January 26 at Holy Spirit Retirement Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Meinen officiating. Burial will be in Southgate, Mich., on Saturday through Czopek Funeral Home of Wyandotte. Theresa Frisch was born August 30, 1911, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Joseph Globuschiitz and Anna Wachter Globuschiitz. She had one brother, Joseph Globuschiitz Jr. She was raised in Sandusky and Deckerville, Mich., until the age of 17, when she moved to Detroit. She married Adam Michael Frisch on January 13, 1937, moving to Wyandotte and then Southgate, Mich., where they raised their son, Adam Joseph Frisch. In July 2000, she moved to Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City, to join her son and his family. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wyandotte for more than 60 years. She was active in her church and service organizations. She was an avid gardener, cook, and seamstress and enjoyed doing needlework. She leaves behind her son, Adam Frisch; her daughter-in-law, Jeanne Emmons; her grandson, Austin Frisch and his wife, Andrea; her granddaughter, Eleanor Frisch; and three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Alan and Andrew Frisch. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents; her brother; and her husband.
