Patricia Tovar

Patricia Tovar, 101, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at University Place Nursing Home in Charlotte. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 5, with a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Patricia was born on July 6, 1910 in Williams, AZ to Adolf and Ursela (Torres) Trejo. She was united in marriage to Salvador Ernest Tovar in 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1988 in Sioux City. She was a homemaker and mother to 2 daughters. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and great grandkids. In her younger days, she enjoyed dancing down at the Sioux City Eagles Club. Patricia is survived by her daughter Carmen Decker of Charlotte, NC; 3 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Rita Savant, a sister and two brothers.
