SIOUX CITY -- Elizabeth Ann Green, 83, of Sioux City died December 21, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Floyd Brown officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Elizabeth was born November 10, 1928 in Oregon, Mo., to Robert and Hazel (Willis) Ray. She married Norman L. Green on April 5, 1958 in Luverne, Minn. Mr. Green preceded her in death on April 6, 1964. Mrs. Green was employed at Hopkins School as the lunchroom server for many years. She also served as a housekeeper for the priests that resided at Heelan High School's Marian Hall before retiring in 1986. She was a member of Mt. Zion as a child and as an adult was a member of Mt. Olive where she served on the Mothers Board before rejoining Mt. Zion in 2005. Elizabeth enjoyed watching the Chicago Bulls. Survivors include her daughters, Tonya Wilson of Chicago, Ill., Theia Ray of San Francisco, Calif., Tammie Lauderdale of Sioux City, Terri Archibald of Memphis, Tenn., and Treon Green of Sioux City; sons, Nicky Green and his wife Linda of Sioux City, Norland Green and his wife Clozell of Sioux City, and Norman Green Jr. and his wife Brenda of Omaha; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Waller, Bernice Johnson and Ruth Ray; three brothers, John Ray, Merrideth Ray and Ed Ray; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
